About the project
A modular prefabricated housing design exploring how container-based construction can be combined with sustainable architectural detailing to produce a credible two-storey residential dwelling. Commissioned through Mage Australia’s broader design and build engagements.
Building composition
Ground floor: Two distinct living areas, laundry, bathroom, kitchen, and dining zone - organised around a central living core with direct outdoor connection through full-height glazing.
Upper floor: Master bedroom, ensuite, secondary bedroom, utility room, play room, and balcony - accessed via an internal staircase off the ground-floor living area.
Deliverables
- Two-level floor plans with full room labelling and function mapping
- Section drawings showing internal volumes and staircase
- Elevations on all four faces
- Three-dimensional presentation render (exterior)
- Interior photorealistic renders of the living and circulation spaces
- Roof plan integrating skillion and gabled profiles
Software stack
The mixed Revit + AutoCAD + SketchUp + Photoshop pipeline reflects what modular housing projects typically need: a BIM model for documentation (Revit), site-plan and detail support (AutoCAD), fast 3D iteration (SketchUp), and final image production (Photoshop).
