As-Built BIM for Existing Buildings
Revit models of existing buildings - for refurbishment, heritage, FM handover, or asset digitisation.
- - Existing building BIM models
- - Heritage and conservation documentation
- - Facility management handover models
- - Pre-refurbishment baselines
- - Point cloud to Revit (Scan to BIM)
- - As-built drawing sets from BIM
What an as-built BIM is for
You can’t refurbish, manage, or insure what you can’t see. As-built BIM is the digital baseline of what’s actually there - distinct from the design intent of original drawings, which may not match what was eventually built.
How we capture it
From your survey data (point cloud or measured survey) we model existing geometry into Revit at the LOD scoped for the use case. LOD 200 is typical for FM handover. LOD 300 for refurbishment design baselines. LOD 350+ for heritage or where MEP modelling is part of scope.
Inspection-data integration
For owners or facility managers running ongoing inspections, our sister product Inspectech (inspectech.app) captures condition and inspection data over time. Pair Inspectech-collected data with an as-built Revit model and you have a working digital baseline that stays current with site reality.
Building inspector or engineer running inspections?
Our software product Inspectech streamlines building and engineering inspections and reporting. Capture site data, generate reports, and feed the output directly into your BIM workflow. Used by inspectors, engineers, and certifiers across Australia.
